UEL is partnering with the College of Biological Sciences at the University of Minnesota to offer a series of events in 2019-2020. Join us to learn more about what’s happening!

The College of Biological Sciences (CBS) has just opened an Active Learning Lab to transform the way that students learn biology. They have also been awarded an 8.5M grant to understand and treat breast cancer.

CBS faculty investigate living systems at every scale from proteins and enzymes to entire ecosystems. Join Mike Sadowsky, the director of the Biotechnology Institute to learn more about the groundbreaking research that’s taking place at the University, and key partnerships for the College of Biological Sciences.

Mike Sadowsky is a professor in the Department of Soil, Water, and Climate and the director of the Biotechnology Institute through the College of Biological Sciences at University of Minnesota. Michael also heads up the Minnesota Mississippi Metagenome Project (M3P), an effort to identify and characterize microbes at the headwaters of the Mississippi and to evaluate the human impact on the microbial community downstream.

This event is the first in a series of informational events from the College of Biological Sciences.

This is free to attend, however registration is needed.  EventBrite link below.
