BARDA – The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, part of HHA/ASPR advances countermeasures against 21st century health threats. The BARDA network of medtech and healthcare accelerators continued to thrive in 2020. Virtual connections made collaboration and support within our network possible.

The Midwest COVID-19 Innovation Showcase focus for 2020 was to target innovation aimed at fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing innovative ideas to tackle COVID-19’s toughest challenges within therapeutics, diagnostics, remote patient monitoring and personal protective equipment.

Lite Run
- Lite Run sold their “space suit” unweighting systems to Twin Cities area hospitals The Minneapolis VA Health Care, Hennepin County Health Care (HCMC) and North Memorial Health Hospital all now have Lite Run systems for gait therapy.
- A VA national newsletter, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, gave Lite Run 4.9 stars out of 5.0 in a product review
- Honored to receive a Launch Minnesota Grant as one of the “most promising, innovative and scalable technology businesses in Minnesota”
