Steve Mertens is a Sr. Vice President of Research and Development for Cardiology, Rhythm, Vascular at Boston Scientific. He has been with Boston Scientific for about 20 years in a variety of positions including research and development, quality and manufacturing. Before joining Boston Scientific, Steve was in the electronics industry working in both research and manufacturing. Steve has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas. Steve is currently chairman of Lifescience Alley board, and has been serving on the UEL board since 2005.
